Tasting Notes | 2017 BLK 178 BV GSM is a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro that has been aged in old oak for few months in order to preserve the fruit flavours. Very deep dark colour with a vibrant purple hue. Elevated dark raspberry, plum and cherry aromas intermix with hints of liquorice fresh herb. The medium-weighted palate is decorated with juicy ripe raspberry, plum, black cherry and liquorice fruit with spicy fresh herb infusions. Soft tannins concluding with good freshness and long finish.
Region | The fertile soil of the Barossa in South Australia is home to some of the world’s most highly praised vineyards. The region has a Mediterranean style climate with relatively rainy winters and warm summers which helps to create the perfect environment for red wine production.
